Matthew Cottrell is a Portland based artist working in various artistic modalities with primary focus in acrylic painting to spark inner joy and curiosity. He likes to playfully engage his viewership into a deeper connection to oneself and other. Matthew has taken some formal artistic training, however his primary path has been that of a self trained artist. “My work never comes from me alone. It’s a collaborative creation between myself and my greatest teacher, the paint itself.”
